May Letter From the Editor

Dear reader,

First of all, happy May!

Though Elijah’s invitation to take over as editor-in-chief excited me, I took some time to consider before accepting the position. Whether it be through editing (promising) rough drafts or reading the monthly publications, the Woodward Post has been an integral part of my Springs experience. The thought of taking it over and following in the footsteps of so many great editors-in-chief more than slightly terrified me.

My reservations, however, soon went away when I remembered the importance of what the Post is and realized the potential of what it could be. This publication has always been a platform where anybody at the school can share whatever they want, resulting in a captivating medley of advice, current events, personal anecdotes, creative writing, and more. I look forward to exploring how the Woodward Post can grow in my time as Editor-in-Chief this upcoming school year.

Before you move on to reading this month’s publications, I would like to acknowledge the stressful weeks to come. When this issue is released, many of you will be frantically studying for your upcoming AP exam(s). You may have been confused by the cover photo. It is the May birth month flower- Our Lily of the Valley. This flower supposedly brings about good luck and happiness, which I hope will work for you. If you feel overwhelmed, check out Lucy’s article in this issue :). Graduation (congrats seniors!) and summer are right around the corner.

Thank you for reading this month’s issue of the Woodward Post. Until next year…

Rosa Sabel
