Willy

I watched Willy’s Wonderland, and I rate it a 5/10. Willy’s Wonderland is a killer animatronic movie (similar to FNAF). The movie is not very scary for a horror movie unless you find moderate gore scary. The plot is pretty clear, except for the fact that they hired Nicholas Cage as the main character even though he doesn’t talk at all for no understandable reason. The movie has moments of humor that stray away from the horror aspect, but overall it’s a good watch if you’re looking for something more lighthearted in the horror genre.

As a person who doesn’t like horror movies, I enjoyed Willy’s Wonderland, but calling it a horror movie is a stretch. I still enjoyed it; it was a hilarious movie. The movie starts with a silent man’s car breaking down in a mysterious town, and he needs to work at Willy’s Wonderland to pay for the repairs; the owner locks him in the run-down establishment. It is implied he has an obsession with energy drinks, and he drinks them every 1-2 hours. These drinks supposedly let him gain superhuman strength to fight off animatronics with little to no issue, and he takes out two before a group of teens shows up. Liv, a rebellious teen, wants to burn down Willy’s, as she knows that Willy’s Wonderland (before it was abandoned) employed cannibals who commit a satanic ritual to avoid arrest. The souls of the cannibals enter the animatronics and have an insatiable appetite for blood, so they would kill kids at nearby schools, playgrounds, and homes in the county without a deal being made with the sheriffs of the town. The deal was that they bring in people to ‘work’ to pay for their car, but they end up dead before they can get out. Most of the teens in the group get killed as they split up after they get in (number one thing not to do in a horror movie). Liv is the last one alive from the group and is left to fight an animatronic with a pocketknife after the man leaves her to get an energy drink. The man eventually comes back and saves her before the men that scammed him come back to see if he’s still alive. He walks out unscathed, and he drives down the road with Liv, his energy, and his car. It is not very scary, except for the copious amounts of blood (and oil) that are spilled during fight scenes. Some of the dialogue was funny and lightened the mood of the movie. If you are looking for something spine-chilling, this isn’t the movie for you, but if you want something that can make you laugh with a little bit of terror, this is the movie for you!
