Down The Rabbit Hole
I traced a whisper down to the hollow ground,
Its echo touches softly on my spine.
The air grows thick; the walls begin to sound
A clock that chimed in a voice not like mine.
The dirt beneath me twisted into air,
My shadow stretches and whispers in my ear.
I called my name, but nothing answered there;
Just the echoes warping, bent beyond the sphere.
Everything goes dark, then I awake.
The weight of thought no longer holds on tight.
My hand feels light, my mind begins to break,
Stillness settles in what I think is night.
No longer bounded by anxiety.
A peace seeps in, frosting over my heart.
